I kinda forgot to tell y'all.
I'M CUTTING (at least) 8 INCHES OFF MY HAIR TOMORROW (or today for a lot of you that are reading this after 10:45 on Thursday evening)!!!
I don't know why I'm screaming it at you like I solved world peace or something, but it's kind of a lot of ... well, hair. I've actually wanted to do it since I sweated went through pregnancy last summer. But then everyone said, "Don't cut your hair while you're pregnant, you'll regret it, I PROMISE!" and then I started wanting to cut it when I saw Tori Spelling's adorable cut on STORIbook Weddings. And then some of my friends started talking about getting/having just got their hair cut and how much they were loving it! And after my poor son swallowing, what I can only imagine is equal to a wig's worth of my hair that seems to want to shed all over anything it comes in contact with these days, I decided enough is enough. The final decision making factor? Well I have a friend who's mom has just taken on a battle with ovarian cancer. Her mom lost all her hair pretty quickly and was provided with a wig from a place in Texas that takes donated hair to make wigs for cancer patients. When my friend told me about this place (I was already considering donating) I decided that I most DEFINITELY wanted to donate it there. SO the final news is I will be cutting (at least) 8 inches off my hair tomorrow AND hopefully providing someone with it that NEEDS it! And, well that just makes my heart happy. If anyone would like any info on the place I'm donating to send me a message and I'll fill you in!
SO. What am I going to do to this short little bobette that I'll be sporting you ask? Well, maybe you didn't ask but I'm telling anyway. I already mentioned Tori ...
And I think Kristin Cavallari's is cute (or was, I have no idea when these pictures are from) ...
But I think I'm leaning more towards Tori's. Maybe because I like Tori and think Kristin's a brat.
With that being said, we'll see what I come out with tomorrow! I am MOST excited about being able to do my hair in 15 minutes instead of an hour. That's big deal stuff for a momma of a 7 month old boy who wants (and I'm happy to give) all her attention all the time.
I hope y'all have wonderful days (I'm sure by the time you read this it will be day) friends!!!
Ugh, Kristen is a total brat. Not that I know her, but I know her enough from all the reality shows
ReplyDeleteYou will be adorable no matter which you choose! How exciting!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. This is good for me. I've been contemplating whether or not I should cut my hair. Can't decide, so I've been holding off. Your inspirations are adorable though. Can't wait to see pics!
ReplyDeleteMy sister is planning on doing the same thing. Our mother passed from cancer 9 years ago (wow can't believe it been that long feels like yesterday). She had a wig and it made her feel a lot better about herself wearing it. So thank u for donating you're hair. I means the world to them and their families. ;(
ReplyDeleteI just cut my hair off and I don't regret it!! You'll love it! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteCute!! Can't wait to see it!! I bet it's going to look FAB!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it because I'm doing that today! I'm leaning toward Victoria Beckham's hair, though. I'd LOVE Kristin's color.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how it turns out. I love short hair and I'm sure it's going to look super cute on you.
ReplyDeleteI got my hair cut like Tori's last summer and absolutely loved it!! It will be such a cute hair cut on you!
ReplyDeleteI know I've never commented before, but I was just talking to my cousin about donating hair(she's a hair stylist) and she said they actually don't accept hair that has been bleached... It may be different based on the organization you go through, however you may want to verify it. Just something to keep in mind before you do the 8inches. Either way the short hair will look super cute on you!
