Last night was my Christmas Girl's Night. My last of my girl's night parties until the 2010 holiday season rolls around. It was tons of fun, the White Elephant exchange was a blast, I ended up with a Bee-U-T-full purple wine stopper and adorable animal wine charms. Here are some pictures from last night, along with pictures (first) of Silly's birthday celebration ...
PS, Warning, Side Note, Etc.: All pictures will now have this "artsy photography finish" look to them ... and a vignette ... because I'm obsessed ... but will shortly get sick of it ... so bear with me ... dot, dot, dot.
PSS - Can I just go on a little rant about people that are not understanding ... ? There have been times before when I've had something come up, or had to cancel on someone, most of the time the DAY before not day of business, and they give me the WORST "I am so pissed, not sure if we can be friends anymore or if you can be trusted" sound in their voice when they say "Oh ... it's okay." BECAUSE of this, I will always be understanding when someone cancels on me. Last night, I had 5 people text/call/email an hour to 30 minutes before my party to say they couldn't make it. Which is TOTALLY FINE. We all have crazy busy, hectic lives we live, most of us (although not me) with kids! So if someone, a friend usually, calls and asks to be understanding, apologizing that they have to reschedule or back out, BE UNDERSTANDING. As a friend. The last thing they need is you giving them a guilt trip or making them feel WORSE than they already do for having to change plans. Okay, off my soapbox. I just thought about that last night as I was getting texts/emails/phone calls. If we can't depend on our friends to be understanding of us, who can we depend on!?!?
That's really all, I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend. Our 1/2 Marathon is Sunday bright and early. Pray that Matt and I make it to the finish line on Sunday alive. There will be pics (again, much to my husbands dismay). It's too big a deal not to document (sorry sugar). Wish us luck!!!
good luck on your 1/2 marathon!
ReplyDeleteugh.. and thanks for the reminder about being understanding! Sometimes we all forget this. this is definitely the time of year to say.. "ok, next time"!
have a great weekend!
Sorry I could not make it...I had a college fair last night that my boss scheduled for me. Would have been much more fun being there! Good luck @ your marathon!
