The Epitomy of Laziness ...

Well hello first day of Spring.  Mr. Spring, I think we need to talk.  I DO believe you are confused, Mr. Spring.  Mr. Spring, you are supposed to bring flowers, warmer temps, flips flops and even the sporatic, albeit torrential, downpour.  Do we have an understanding Mr. Spring?  You are not, however, Mr. Spring, supposed to look like this ...

Or this ...

ORRRRR this ...

Welcome to Texas friends.  Welcome.  The home of the randomest. weather. ever.  Weather that in response, turned what could've been a productive day into this ...

Being watched even MORE than it should've been, and also feeling the need to make this ...

{The men in my family are hunters.  No I didn't kill it.  Are you insane?  I CAN'T WATCH PLANET EARTH WITHOUT CRYING!  And truthfully I had to keep repeating "deer meat is no different that red meat, deer meat is no different than red meat, do NOT gag Kate!"}

MMMMMMMMM, venison chili.  So great on a snowy (Spring?) night ...

  1. I cannot believe it is snowing in Texas during the first couple days of spring and I really can't believe you posted on a WEEKEND LOL!!

    I bought and watched the New Moon Saturday night with the Hubs and now I can't wait for the new one to hit theaters this Summer!

    Venison chili puts me in mind of when I worked for an oil/well company while in college and the guys thought it would be Ha-larious to ask me if I would like some beef jerky being that I just heart bambi and don't like them talking about hunting and all that stuff.....soooo they gave me some wrapped up real pretty and said it was beef jerky and I ate it and liked it UNTIL about a day later they said how was that deer meat....I thought I was gonna yack all over someone....LOL....but I did like it....just didn't like thinking 'bout where it came from.....

    The chili looks fab....stay warm....

    xoxo

  7. I cannot believe I haven't bought New Moon yet. I feel like a failure. I also cannot believe that New England weather has been so nice compared to the snow in Texas?! Completely agree with Jen, I wore flip flops all weekend! My Dad lovess hunting so they often make venison chili - haven't tried it I'm a little scared of trying venison haha.
