Favorite Fridays, A Spaz Attack and a Throwback!

Hello loverlies!  I'm going to go ahead and warn you that this post will be full of randomness.  Get excited.  Or scared, both are valid emotions.  First off, time for ...

Favorite Fridays

And TODAY'S topic is ...

Favorite BOOK; Category:  DRAMA!

Okay, so I'm not going to be boring and tell you my ACTUAL favorite.  Which is, of course (and I don't even know if this counts as a drama or as a teen soap-opera) ...

Along with the rest of the set.  I know.  Bor-ing.  But, I love it.  Everything about it gives me goosebumps.  Yes, I'm in love with a hundreds of years old, 17 year old, vampire.  I admit it.  And I'm not ashamed.  But I didn't want to be so CLICHE.

So then I thought, does it COUNT if you've never READ the book?  But you LOVE the movie BASED on the book?  Because then I'd say ...

Because OH how I love the movie with Keira Knightly and Matthew Macfayden.  SWOON.  Double swoon.  Even though I don't understand what they're saying half the time, it doesn't matter because they all look so pretty, talk so eliquently and are just down-right fancy.  And who doesn't like fancy?

Now, onto the Spaz Attack ... so we all know and love my little Mobi (Mobister), right?  For you new readers I'll introduce you.  Mobi (as in Dick) is my little betta fish that keeps me company daily in my office.  I swear my coworkers must think I'm psychotically crazy special since I literally talk to my fishy.  Daily.  And by talk I mean put my face up to his tank, and in my BEST baby talk ask him "how momma's boy's doin' today?"  In that up and down, absurdly annoying, babyish voice.  And I swear he understands me.  Or else he thinks he's about to be fed.  Because he swims like a spaz up and down so fast that sometimes I think he's going to try and catapult out of the top of his tank.  Thankfully, he hasn't tried.  Mainly because there is a plastic top that would cause a major fishy concussion.  Anyways, back to my spaz attack.  So I change little Mobister's water every 2 weeks or so.  He has a filter in his tank so his water never actually GETS dirty, but I can't bring myself to let it go past 2 weeks.  It makes me feel like a bad momma.  So the last time I changed Mobister's water, I did what I normally do, put his tank back on my desk, hook up the water filter and continue working after a little baby talkin' and tellin' him what a handsome boy he his and how much momma loves him.  So the next morning I get to work and there are bubbles.  Like foamy, soapy BUBBLES covering the top of his water!  Now Mobi is fine, swimming and acting like his normal betta self, but MOMMA.  OH MOMMA is a different story.  Now, I didn't know WHAT this bidness was, but I new it didn't look right.  You'd think someone told me that someone poured acid in my baby's tank the way I SPAZZED out!  I immediately got a cup and started "extracting the bubbles" ... which was genious because the minute I "extracted" them, more formed in their place, courtesy of my wonderful air filter (at least I THINK this is what caused it)  Now I know what you're thinking.  Katie, betta fish MAKE BUBBLE NESTS when they're feelin' ... you know ... randy.  But seriously, this was not the case.  And if it WAS the case then I have a porn star for a fish and he's going to need an intervention and possibly some counciling.   SO, once I FINALLY calmed down, stopped yelling WHO PUT ACID IN MY FISH'S TANK and realized the bubbles were mating and reproducing faster than I could "extract" them, I decided to just watch Mobi and make sure HE didn't act like he was, well like his mother, spazzed out.  And he didn't.  He seemed just fine and even dandy.  He chased his reflection in the glass all day like he usually does, ate just fine and well ... did what happens after you eat just fine.  So I finally calmed down, but to this day don't know what caused the "mystery bubbles" ... maybe he WAS trying to tell me he needed some "female company" ... who knows?  But there ain't NO way I'm subjecting any poor female that level of bubble nestage.  Plus, he would eat her, which would make me cry and then I'd have to spank him which I haven't the slightest idea how to attempt with a fish.  So, to end my story, here is a little picture of my Mobister.  And mind you I've changed the water since the "mystery bubble situation" in these pictures.

{Maybe he's a little spazzier than I thought.  Hold. STILL. Mobi!}

{Seriously, you've already eaten.  STOP. IT.}

{Here we go.  Getting better.}

{Smile for the iPhone!}

And now, for the throwback.  My eversodarling Soulmatey and I were texting the other day and I am not sure how it came up, but we ended up talking about Dumbo's Circus.  I don't know if any of you remember this show or not.  It was on Disney at like 6 am.  And it was my FAVORITE growing up.  And right after it, Welcome to Pooh Corner.  So for all of you that needed a trip down childhood lane today, here for your viewing pleasure ...

I hope you all have WONDERFUL weekends sweets!!!  TGIF!!!

  10. That's so weird they make bubble nests?! Never heard of that! I love how you treat your fish like a baby. Most people do that with dogs or cats or even rodents but a fish?! lol. That's awesome.

    it was freezing balls in our house and the only warm room was our bedroom.

    lloyd died that night...along with a little piece of my heart.
