2010 Pictoral Review!

Brace yourself folks.  This is going to be a long one.  But full of picture saturation so no need to think.  At all.  Which is good because you'll probably all be reading this on New Years Day and feeling a LITTLE, shall we say, under the weather?  2010 has been quite the year.  So I'm going to break it down for you month by month ...

{Celebrated my dad's birfday and I wore a jumper for the first time}

{Celebrated my mamaw's birfday, and I started trying to grow out my bangs}

{Texas got more snow than it's seen in decades, and Koda LOVED it}

{Had a girl's night Valentine's party}

{Celebrated my cousin Natalie's (bottom left) birfday and she just got engaged today, WOO HOO!}

{Went to San Antonio with my dad and Mamo to see my brother Will's drill team (rifle throwing not dancing in leotards) perform, and I little man had his first margarita (I was 3 weeks pregnant at the time and didn't know it)}

{Found out I was pregnant the morning after we got home from San Antonio}

{Told the Mister I was pregnant that night after a LONG day of waiting!}

{Told our parents we were expecting by me wearing this shirt}

{Celebrated the Mister's 29th birfday.  3 times.  I have a big family.}

{Saw our sweet baby boy for the first time.  I thought he looked like a lima bean.}

{Celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary.  With morning sickness.}

{Announced to the world (i.e. facebook & blog land) that we were preggers.}

{Koda helped.}



{Found out at 12 weeks that we were 99% going to have a boy.}

{Celebrated my 29th birfday.  3 times.  Like I said, GIANT family.}

{Attended a dear friend's baby shower (Heather, far left) and celebrated the other 2 newly preggers, Mary Beth (middle) and myself.  All 3 of us had boys!}

{Had good friends over for dinner, and laughed so hard I was pretty sure I was going to go into labor.}

{Let one of my besties touch the belly where her future son in law was growing (she's preggers with a little girl, due in February)}

{Celebrated my birfday (late) with dinner at Nick and Sams after seeing Wicked!  PS - that's sparkling cider justsoyaknow.}

{Celebrated father's day with my dad, i.e. goofball.  WhereEVER do I get it?}

{Took a 16 week belly pic.}

{Confirmed that we were, in fact, having a sweet little boy!}

{Bid one of my closest and best friends farewell as she was moving to Taiwan the following week.  I MISS YOU GIN, Caleb can't WAIT to meet you!}

{Celebrated my MOH's divorce being finalized.  If you knew the details you'd celebrate too.}

{Celebrated the twins' (my little brother and sister for the new readers) 11th birfday}

{Went to my step-dad's brother's lakehouse on Lake Michigan.  And took cute preggo pictures with the Mister.}

{Went to fun dinners with the fam while on vacay in Michigan.}

{Took a 24 week preggo shot.}

{Went to Women of Faith with my momma.}

{Took a 28 week belly shot.)

{Had my 1st shower.}

{With one of the hostesses of the shower, also my bestie.}

{Had an amazing maternity photo shoot courtesy of my SIL (my brother's wife, also referred to as Silly for any new readers)}

Went to the doctor's 3 days later for a routine check-up, was told I had high BP and was put on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy.  No, I don't have any pictures of that ...}

{Went to my 2nd baby shower.  My one outing for the week per bedrest orders.}

{Had my last Halloween themed shower.  How cute are my friends?  My MOH is wearing my tutu from an 80s party I went to a few years ago ...}

{Spent Halloween on bedrest in the hospital.  My momma came up and decorated my room.}



{Was told my BP had gotten dangerously high, enduced labor but didn't progress and decided to do a C-Section.  Time to meet our little man!}

{Laid eyes on the most beautiful little face I have ever seen.}

{Held my baby boy for the first time.}

 {Had a fan club for my son.}

{Took our sweet angel home.}

{Had a Thanksgiving of firsts.  C's first Thanksgiving and my first Thanksgiving as a mommy.  So much to be thankful for!}

{And continued to do so.}

{And took some more before going to look at Christmas lights ...}

{Had an AMAZING newborn photo shoot.}

{Celebrated my (second from the left) Silly's birfday.}

{Went to my cousin's wedding and danced the night away for the first time since I found out I was preggers.}

{And totally forgot to take any pictures of my son's first Christmas, but got one of his first Christmas Eve.}

And that was our year, in a nutshell.  Well, a picture nutshell.  Tonight the Mister, Caleb, Koda and I are eating takeout, watching Iron Man 2 and toasting the New Year with some bubbly all next to the fire.  Our first New Year's Eve staying home, not having plans of some sort, just veggin' out with our little man.  And I couldn't be more thrilled.
