Since it's a new year, I figured I should let all my cats out of their collective bags and admit to you all some of my bad traits/habits. So here goes ...
- I bite the smack out of my fingernails, cuticles, anything I can peel (kidding. kind of) to the point of bleeding, cracking and generally nasty looking fingers.
- I drink milk, orange juice, etc. straight from the carton because I don't want to have to clean a cup.
- I hate to clean, but I love things being clean. Unfortunately for the Mister, the hate usually beats the love unless we have people coming over.
- I am a terrible, TERRIBLE blog commenter. Terrible. But I promise people I read, I READ!
- I have an unhealthy love for Disney. I cry at the sound of "When You Wish Upon A Star". Literally weep.
- I stay in workout/comfy clothes all. day. long. Poor Mister. Don't worry sugar, when I get to my goal weight I'll walk around in hot girl clothes all the time. I promise.
- I hate the phone and am bad, BAD about calling people back. I'm definately a texter/emailer.
- I like to cook but never do. We eat things straight from the freezer in the Fulmer household. Dee-wishous.
- I hate leftovers. Hence another reason we don't cook 'round here.
- I'm a "foot-tapper driver". Don't know what that is? Take your foot and tap it. Apparently that's what I do to the gas pedal which results in making my passengers sick. Poor C is doomed to be constantly carsick.
- I hate the entire process of showering but love the end result. It takes a long time to dry and straighten long, naturally wavy hair people! And now I have a baby which = time stealer.
- I avoid having to bathe C. He hates it, therefore I hate it. He screams like a banshee. Plus I'm terrified his little slippery nakie body is going to slip out of my hands. Therefore I force myself to do it every other night, key word FORCE.
- I constantly use words that either a.) don't make sense in the context I've used them or b.) are not actual words.
- I'm real forgetful. What is this that I'm doing again?
- I could (and usually do when we're not participating in baby quarantine-a-thon 2011 due to nasty flu/RSV season) visit TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Ross, Target & Marshalls every day. Not necessarily buy anything (because we would be bankrupt) but still go and waste an ungodly amount of time doing so.
I know there's more that I'm not thinking of. Maybe I should've asked the Mister for his input, I'm sure we could double the length of this list quickly. What are your bad traits/habits?
PS - Don't forget to play Thoughtless Thursday tomorrow! Can't wait to see what y'all post!
i'm an uber nail-biter too. my mom has been trying to break me of that habit since i was small. to no avail. i say, it's one of the better bad habits i can have, right? i mean, i'm not a drunk, or anything! :) hehe.
ReplyDeleteOn the weekends I live in my workout clothes! I see nothing wrong with this.
ReplyDeleteI am a nail biter too! Cuticles, anything that I can get ahold of! So sad! I am with you on the shower thing....I have curly hair too girl and people do not understand the amount of time we spend making our hair look descent! It's tough being a girl :) Your baby is a doll!
ReplyDeleteso many of these things sound like you are describing me!!!
ReplyDeleteI pick my cuticles to no end, and I hate talking on the phone too. Don't feel bad, feel normal!
ReplyDeleteI too am a nail biter and TERRIBLE at replying to phone calls or emails. :(
ReplyDeleteBUT all these things make you AWESOME :)
ReplyDeleteHmm... I could have written some of these myself!
ReplyDeleteI too am I nail-biting, carton-drinking, texting-not-calling, forgetful, tosser-of-leftovers, non-cleaner who HATES the idea of having to shower, but once in there, I don't want to get out.
And hey, regarding the car, maybe cutie pie C will just develop a super strong stomach and impress his friends when he doesn't toss his cookies on even the most scariest of rides. Hehee :).
Wow, I couldn't agree with you more on a bunch of these. I HATE showering, I mean I love it.. but it seriously takes two hours out of my day. The whole process is annoying.. haha. I totally get you on this one.
ReplyDeleteoh p.s. I love the new layout.!!
ReplyDeleteFun post. I hate the shower process too. And I don't even have a baby!
ReplyDeleteNail-biter, comfy clothes lover, and leftover hater over here too!! And who doesn't love TJMaxx and Target?!!?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the honesty!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute! I am with ya on the nail biting and Home Goods/ TJ Maxx- absolutely LOVE!! Isn't the shower process just ridic?! Boys have it soo easy
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I feel the same way wearing comfy clothes. My husband always dresses nicer than I do and he can't stand it. :)
ReplyDeleteOh SOOO many! :-) Biting fingernails, hating to clean (thank goodness we have a housekeeper!), HORRIBLE at calling people back (but AWESOME at texting and emailing!) . . . Biting my fingernails has been a New Years Resolution since I was like 5 (every year, seriously). . . I have gotten it somewhat under control since I get my nails done once a week, but throw stress into my life and painted or not the nails are BITTEN! :-) Love you sweet friend! . . . maybe NOW you should list all the reasons why you are AMAZING! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh me and sweats are besties. :) I am also HORRIBLE at calling people back, and usually try to text back instead. I hate cleaning too... I put it off and put it off and then clean like a maniac. I love confession posts.
ReplyDeleteWork out clothes all day long..that's me!!! I too keep saying that if I lose 10 lbs then I'll dress like a smokin' hot mamma. HEHE!!! And taking a shower and blow drying my hair makes me want to cry!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd these are all the reasons we love being friends with Katie!
ReplyDeleteI do EVERY single one of these things too!! A slippery baby would scare me too, lol.
ReplyDeleteUm, you just described me :) No worries, you're pretty fantastic anyways!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously!! I could fit into all but 2 of your confessions!! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI am a SAHM. The only time we ever get dressed is when we leave the house which means I am usually in PJ's or super comfy clothes. I have always heard that babies don't need baths unless they really stink..it is not good to wash away their natural oils (or something like that).
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Mother club you are doing a perfect JOB!
OH mrs f... i love you! miss you a ton. and LOVED the cmas card. presh. loveyouagain, K BAI
