Pray.

I had this whole TT post of cute videos of C to post for TT but I'm going to throw that out the window.  Because I want y'all to pray for sweet James again.  Here's the update ...

Please get on your knees and pray for this sweet baby boy.  Cry out to the Lord for him, for his parents.  Pray for PROTECTION for him, for his parents.  Pray for HEALING for this sweet baby.  Pray for wisdom and discernment from the doctors and all the staff at the hospital.  Pray they feel nothing but love and support.  If anyone can do this, the Great Healer can.

Yup.

I sure did do this while watching the Bachelorette act a fool last night ...

Aren't I all patriotic n' schtuff?

Crabby or Not?

You be the judge.

{"Daddy, I'm not cwabby, I'm blowin' raspberries.  Tell mommy I'm not cwabby."}

{"Pffffffffffffllllllttttttt."  See?  Raspberries.  Not cwabby."}

{"Oh no, the shirt is taking over.  I feel ... the cwabbiness ... COMING!"}

{"Phew.  The raspberries blew away the cwabbies."}

{"Oh look at that, there's my mommy.  I shall make a fish face at her."}

{"Now mommy's making them back.  She's so silly that mommy!"}

{"Ewwww, look at that bug on the ground.  He might make me cwabby ..."}

{"Shoot, now I'm SWEEPY!  I promise I'm not cwabby, I'm SWEEPY!  Darn this shirt, I'm doomed."}

Despite the cwabbines (which he really wasn't, the faces were just too cute to resist) we had a great weekend.  We went to Coon Creek with my brother and silly (SIL) and my dad for a belated Father's Day celebration with him.  We had a great time even though the Mister was stuck in NYC on Friday after having his plane cancelled and being rebooked 4 times.  He finally got on a plane at 9pm, sat on the tarmac for 2 hours, had a 3.5 hour flight, had to wait once he got to DFW for the plane that actually had his bag on it and finally got home at 2am ... after originally being scheduled on a 6:30pm flight home.  So needless to say, he was sleepy but thankfully was able to (somewhat) catch up on his sleep before we left.  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as well!

Last but definately not least, please visit this blog (a friend of mine posted it on facebook) and join me in praying for this sweet baby ...

He is pretty much the same age as C.  I am sitting here with tears in my eyes as I type this.  I can't even fathom.  Pray for steadiness of the doctor's hands and wisdom as the Lord guides them.  Pray for peace for James's parents.  Pray for HEALING for sweet little James and pray for positive results from the doctors.  Again, our God is a mighty and POWERFUL God.  We trust that He can and will do this.  Thanks in advance for your prayers, please feel free to share this on your blog and get even more people praying!

Thoughtless Thursday ...

First off, here is an update on little Callie ...

PRAISE THE LORD!  We serve a mighty and faithful God!  Thank you all for reading and your prayers or for those of you that shared this on your own blogs.  Now lets keep her in our prayers as she recovers from the surgery.

Now it's time for ...

And if you've never played, TT is basically an excuse to post whatever you want, no matter how random it may be.  So if you have a "hey, this one time 7 years ago I went to Jamaica" or "here are pictures of me and my girlfriends in college even though I graduted 10 years ago" or "look at this cute picture of my kid doing nothing in particular" and I want to share it with y'all but it really makes no sense to post on a random day in the middle of the week, well this is your time to post them.

My current post of randomness is all about this ADORABLE website that I found through a friend.  The owner is a friend of this friend's friend.  Did you get that?  Because I'm even confused.  Anyways, enough confusion let me just show you the site ...

I mean seriously these are the cutest little onesies (or creepers as she calls them) ever.  And she makes them in hats and bibs.  I die.  Here are a few of my favorites (truth be told I like them all) ...

There are several of these "animals saying the wrong thing" creepers.  Hilarious.  I also like the one of the dinosaur saying "ribbit ribbit".

And don't you worry, she has toddler and bigger kiddo sizes too.  Eek!  So.dang.cute.

So head on over and visit this darling website and order something cute for your little cutie.  You can bet C will be sportin' one of these creepers soon and I will be SURE to post his picture on here when he does.  Who knows, maybe for another TT post?

Prayers for a Little Girl ...

My friend Amber posted this post ...

Please take time to visit her blog, read the story and pray for little Callie.  As moms (a lot of us) our hearts should be burdened to pray for this baby girl and her family.

Our God is a great and mighty God who can do great and mighty things!

Terrible Mom Tuesday ...

Okay, so let's start with the subject of solid (baby) foods.  They are NOT my favorite.  Why?  Because my child is a gagger.  If he doesn't like something?  He gags.  If it's a new flavor he's not used to?  He gags.  If he REALLY wants you to know he doesn't like it, he full on throws up.  Followed by dry heaving/gagging.  Lovely.  And this is a LITTLE frightening for a momma who already worries/freaks out/has panic attacks about any little thing that doesn't seem like the norm.  Another thing he didn't like (at first, but this was because he was 5 months old and not really comfortable sitting up yet) was the highchair.  Like full on screamed, bowed his back and went into what I like to call "plank pose".  SO, for this reason we fed him for a few months in his bouncy seat.  This weekend I finally decided that it was time to upgrade to his highchair, otherwise he'd be seven years old and we'd be dragging his bouncy seat into restaurants, putting it in the booth and feeding him chips and salsa.  It started out fine but then when it came time to eat the plank poses/noises only dogs could hear started to come.  So, I did what any other mom would do with no other options left - dragged his highchair in front of the TV, turned on a recorded episode of Wonder Pets and distraction fed as FAST as I could.  And hallelujah (angels singing).  No gagging.  No dry heaving.  No choking.  Actually completely the opposite, he ate EVERYTHING.  Both his veggie and his fruit.  And even opened his mouth wide like a baby bird in a nest waiting on his momma to bring him food.  Praise the Lord!  There you have it.  Proof we have a dramatic child.  I don't know WHERE he could've gotten that from ... (crickets chirping ...)

This brings me to the title of this post.  Terrible mom.  I'm officially the worst mom ever.  I feed him in front of the TV.  But you know what?  You do what you have to to get the job done.  And what's gonna work?  "TEAM WORK!" (if you don't feed your child in front of Wonder Pets, you won't get that)  Oh, another thing he does that I forgot to mention that is SUPER cute when his mouth isn't full of bananas, carrots or cereal ...

Yup.  Blow raspberries.  Which, like I said, is SO cute (and MIGHT be encouraged a LOT) when his mouth isn't full of food.  When it is?  Momma gets an unplanned baby food bath.  Gross.  Oh and yes, that's a towel bungee corded to the back of the chair.  It's the Mister's solution to the fact that every time we'd put C in his highchair and he went into plank pose he'd slam his head into that slat on the back of the chair which, as you can imagine, does NOT help in getting him to want to stay in his highchair.  So a big thank you to daddy for figuring that out by bein' all manly n' stuff.  He wanted to use duct tape (insert man grunt here) instead of the bungee cord but I veto'ed that in about 5.2 seconds.

On another gagging note, did anyone see the Bachelorette last night?  Don't you KNOW Ashley HAS (I think I capitalize and use italics too much ...) to be cringing every time she watches herself make these RIDICULOUS comments regarding Bentley and her "being in a dark place" or him "being the one".  Ugh, I know I was.  Gag me with a spoon.  Yes, I just said that.  It's hard for me to have any sympathy for the girl when she was warned.  And now, I will stop talking about her like I know her or like this is important.  I can FEEL the Mister's eyes rolling out of his head.

Happy Tuesday y'all!

Miscellany Monday ...

Today, I'm linking up with the darling Carissa at ...

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

... which is just what the doctor ordered since I'm currently suffering from a bout of brain flatulence.

So, in no particular order, here is my miscellaneous'ness'es'ness'es ...

First, my personal trainer experience officially ended last week (well actually I have one session with him I need to makeup this week, but TECHNICALLY last week was the week) SO I'm on my own.  Now, this isn't necessarily a problem because in college I was a workout/low-carb-eating MACHINE.  Nothing and nobody could knock me off my game.  I wouldn't touch a piece of cake (or anything that wasn't on my "list of preapproved diet items") with a ten foot pole.  I will show you proof ...

I'll go ahead and state the obvious, this is my wedding day.  Now granted, I do NOT need to be this skinny again.  And I'm not going to.  Because I was pretty much eating bare bones type food to look like a bare bones type girl.  And working out like a fiend at the same time.  But I would like to be closer to this weight in the following picture (which I'll just go ahead and tell you that it is about 18 lbs heavier than the wedding day picture, just to put into perspective on just how TOO skinny I was) ...

Which is about 25 lbs away from where I am now.  (PS, isn't the Mister so cute with his long hair?  You know you've got a looker when you can love his hair long AND short.  This is the haircut where he gets told he looks like Robert Downey, Jr. a lot.)

SO - all this is to say that I've sort of hit a wall.  I've currently lost 60 lbs since the day C was born, more like 50 when you take out baby and all his "gear" he had in the womb.  Which is about 8 lbs from where I was when I got pregnant.  And of course, like most women, I wasn't where I wanted to be when I GOT pregnant and I figure "If I'm already on track losing weight, why stop at the point that I wasn't happy before?"  So that's back to the 25 lbs I still want to lose.  And the wall (i.e. plateau) I've hit.  My goal at the gym we joined yesterday (did I even say that yet?  Um, BTW we joined a gym.) is to workout at least 4 times a week for at least an hour each time with the same intensity Oscar (my trainer, who I WILL do a post about with his information if he ever gets me the info, AHEM Coach?) put me through.  On top of that I need to UP my water intake.  And by UP I mean DRINK SOME at all!  I am a water hater.  A Diet Pepsi, coffee and pretty much anything that's not water lover, but water?  Hater.  Between that and adding an extra day to my workouts for the week I am HOPING to shed these last 25 lbs.  And I promise to update you girls on my progress periodically.  Phew.  That was a LONG #1.  I may only have a couple more in me ...

Second, we had a fantastic Father's Day weekend.  I didn't actually get to see my daddy (sad face) because he was out of town, but we're going to celebrate with him, late, next weekend.  However, in honor of him I'll show y'all a cute picture of him and C recently ...

But we DID get to spend it with this guy ...

{Love me some instagram-bam-thankyouma'am}

and shower him with these gifts ...

{That top book is HILARIOUS.  I hope you can see the picture below to see just how hilarious it is.  And the bottom book?  Thank you Shutterfly for getting it here QUICK and for your reasonable pricing!}

We ended the day at my mom's house, out on the back porch looking at this view ...

I hope y'all each had wonderful Father's Days as well!

Third, did I mention it was my mom's birfday last week?  Well, actually it was the week before but did I mention we celebrated (one of the times) last Monday night?  We had our traditional girl's night (except for Clay, he gets to be included when it's his mom, sister or wife's birfday) at McGuires which was OH so yummy.  Here's a few pics from the evening ...

{Not gonna lie, when I wear this short haircut curly, I look a LITTLE like Richard Simmons.  After dinner I asked anyone if they felt like sweatin' to the oldies.}

{Is she the cutest mother-of-4-and-a-few-years-older-than-30 mom you've ever seen or what?  Thanks for those genes mom, since I currently can't fit in my actual jeans I'll lean on those ...}

And that's it.  Phew.  I think I must get super excited/rush to the point of exhaustion when I try and get my blog posts done while C's napping.  Because I'm currently sweating.  Also I'm pretty sure I just shot myself in the foot and officially have nothing left to blog about this week.  So, see y'all next week.

If that's not miscellany I don't know what is.  Go on over to Lowercase Letters (I feel like that was a bit ironic that I just capitalized those L's) and link up!

Thoughtless Thursday ...

I swear next week I'll find a McStinky to use.  And I'll post before 10pm.  PROMISE.

Um, favoritest (yes I know, not a word) picture. EVER.

Love, LOVE my boys.

And this one's pretty cute too.  Little guy kickin' away, handsome Mister holding his boy and my little sister (aunt Ally) smilin' at her nephew.  My heart runneth over (yes, I know that's not the saying).

Not much else going on with me.  I'm peeling.  Like, EVERYWHERE.  Apparently my first burn of the summer was a DOOZY.  Is anyone else a peel addict like me?  Don't know what that is?  Well, I like to peel.  Like, get excited about it.  If you're getting creeped out then you should probably stop reading.  Because when I was a kid (emphasis on WHEN I WAS A KID) I used to make my younger brother sit and let me ... peel him ... when he'd get sunburned and start peeling.  I know.  It's gross.  And I should get help.  I'm thinking of joining a 12-step group.  But until then, I love to peel.  I have could spend an hour just sitting and peeling ... myself.  And have even been known to make myself light-headed and/or dizzy trying to peel places such as my shoulders that I can't see very well and try to crane my neck to get to.  Yes.  I know.  Gross.  So there you have it.  Little known fact about Mrs. Fulmer.  I will understand if you want to stop following me immediately.  Hey, at least I'm not like the lady that eats soap or the one that keeps all her hair follicles.

Besides the peeling episodes (I'm not kidding it's E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E, like even the tops of my hands and on my wrists.  Who gets sunburned on the tops of their hands and on their wrists?  I do, that's who) not much else going on on the Fulmer Lane.  I hope y'all are all having great weeks (if you're still reading and I haven't lost you with the peeling, sheesh, maybe I shouldn't have shared ...)

I'm IN Love ...

... with this little beauty that arrived in the mail on Friday ...

... from none other than ETSY!  I stinkin' love Etsy.  I'm pretty sure I could spend all 24 hours of my day on that website finding about a gajillion things that my little heart desires.  And the specific shop that this little gem came from is Shiny Little Blessings.  Don't bother trying to find this exact item in her shop because it was custom made for ME!  But I'm sure Sabine (the shop owner) would be happy to duplicate it for any of you that like it, she was absolutely wonderful to work with!  I made a few changes to this item and she honored the original price to her item posted.  Seriously, I could not be more thrilled with the finished product, I just hope she still has her store when baby Fulmer #2 comes into the picture so I can represent him/her around my neck as well!

Also, stay tuned because Sabine has expressed some interest in doing a giveaway on my blog, possibly later on in the fall.  But don't wait until then if you want to order something meaningful in the meantime, go check out Shiny Little Blessings!  Thanks again Sabine!

Seven Months!

Before I start this post can I just say ...

GO MAVS!!!  Wa-HOOOOOOOO!!!  I am proud to say I watched the WHOLE (well almost the whole, the first 20 minutes or so was spent trying to get little man to sleep in the pack n' play at my mom's house) game.  And man was it a GOOD one!!!  We were at my mom's house to celebrate her birfday (a few days late) and decided to stay and watch the game on their gimungous projector thing-a-ma-jig.  Little man did great, went to sleep at his normal time, woke up for a sec when we put him in his car seat to go home, played the whole way home and then went right back to sleep until 7am this morning once we got home.  Such a good baby.  Speaking of that good baby ...

I can NOT beweave he's seven months already!!!  So, without further adieu here is his seven month (and 5 days) photoshoot ...

{"Oh dangit, not this again, has it really already been a month?  Whatever a month is ..."}

{"Ah well, I'll just look at this spot on the chair.  No smiles from me, just looking at the chair."}

{"Seriously, what is this on the chair mom?"}

{"Maybe I'll try and scratch it off ... and play with my toes in the process."}

{"Mom keeps saying I have a short atten ... hey what's that on the wall?"}

{"Dagnabit that spot is STILL there!"}

{"Okay, now it's starting to freak me out ..."}

{"Mom, don't you ever clean this place?"}

{"Pshhhh, whatever.  And no I will NOT smile for you.  Talk to the hand."}

{"I WILL, however, smile for Koda.  He's funny."}

{"What am I going to do about that spot ... did I mention my short attention span?"}

{"I'm not sure this chair is too stable now that I think about it.  Let me push on it to make sure."}

{"What's that out the window?  What attention span?"}

{"And now, I'll take a break and make a cute face."}

{"And maybe a cute face for Koda."}

{"Woahhhh, this leaning back and forth because I'm a big boy and can (most of the time) sit up is making the chair rock.  Woaahhhh."}

{"Mom, this is getting old.  You've taken an insane amount of pictures.  Haven't you got it yet?  I'm not going to smile."}

{"Alright, I'll give you duck face.  But duck face is all you'll get."}

{"Or how about this "acting aloof whilst looking out of the window longingly" look?"}

{"I'm going to move my hand real fast so it looks blurry.  Ha.  That's funny."}

{"Maybe that spot's NOT so bad.  As a matter of fact, I think IT'S kinda funny too!"}

{"But I'm still not going to smile for you camera.  I will. not. do it."}

{"I will bite my finger to keep from smiling.  I see you making faces and actin' a fool.  And it's pretty funny.  But I will not smile."}

{"Oh darn you woman, you brought out Elmo!  Bahahahahaha, he's (gasp, gasp) SO (gasp, gasp, giggle) funny (giggle, giggle, giggle).  I'm so ashamed (giggle, giggle)."}

For the record, there is nothing gross or dirty on my son's chair.  I was just going with flow of the pictures.  I promise I keep a clean house and he doesn't live in filth.  No need to call CPS.

Happy Monday all!
