Thoughtless Thursday: Video Style!

Happy ...

... to everyone! I decided to do a video today instead of pictures because, well, I don't have any pictures and short of me taking self portraits of my ever-expanding face (i.e. nose and mouth) or my fingers that are no longer capable of fitting my wedding rings on, or my indistinguishable ankles, calves and the beginning of the tops of my feet, I thought a video of Koda bear would be more exciting to everyone! So here goes, a little video of the ball of energy we like to call "Koda" ...

Pardon my heinuous baby talk. It will only get worse when Caleb gets here. I can assure you of that. Now it's y'all's turn! Grab my button, post whatever pictures (or videos if you like!) and come back here and link up so we can all look at each other's posts! Happy TT everyone!!!

Fulmers "Fall-ified"!

Okay, here's the post I was GOING to post on Tuesday.  Before Blogger turned into a gigantic butthead.  However I must say, this new picture loader thingamajig is actually pretty cool.  I just loaded ALL the following pictures at ONCE.  Something that would've taken me twice as long before the troublesome new picture loader.  So, sorry Blogger.  Even though I'm still a bit mad at you.  Kinda.  So here you go, the post you should've beheld yesterday.

Fall (i.e. Halloween) has come to the Fulmer household and I couldn't be MORE thrilled! October (which yes I know it's not TECHNICALLY October yet, but I say three days is close enough) officially marks the beginning of my FAVORITE time of the year, holiday time!!! I had the Mister pull down our decorations this weekend and I had them up in about an hour's time. So, without further adieu, here's a little tour through the Fulmer fall-ification ...

I hope you've enjoyed your tour through the Fulmer household fall-ified/Halloween-ified!!!

{OMG}

"Oh, oh, oh oh oh oh OMG."

And no, I'm not singing Usher's song.  If I were, I'd be in a good mood.  And I'm not.  Why?  Because Blogger sucks a big fat Sour Patch Kid.  And by that I mean, THE PHOTO UPLOADER IS BEING A GIGANTIC PAIN IN THE ARSENOL.  So, until I can post pics of the Fulmer house in full fall effect this is all you'll get.  Me whining/complaining/moaning posting about Blogger sucking today.  Here's hoping it works tomorrow!

Wedding Outfit SUCCESS!

Happy Monday loverlies!  I hope your weekends were fantasmic.  Mine was eventful but relaxing.  Just the way I like 'em.  Friday night the Mister and I laid around the casa and watched some of our DVR'ed shows while I finished painting these for little man's room ...

 Nothing too spectacular, hopefully they'll look okay.  And let me just say regarding our DVR'ed shows, thank GOODNESS The Office is back on.  It's about dang time, I was getting SICK of reruns!  And um, let's just say the opening scene alone would've done it for me to serve as the whole episode.  H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S.  Saturday I went to a luncheon to get to know my cousin Landon's fiance, Anna, a little better (they're getting married in December, more than likely my first night away from little man, eek!).  I think she's going to fit into our family just FINE.  She's got a great sense of humor, is really easy to talk to and just seems like an all around awesome girl.  But I wouldn't excpect any less from Landon.  He's quite possibly one of my funniest cousins I have.  They live in LA but will be having the wedding here so she's having to fly back and forth for appointments here and there.  Then on Saturday night we had the wedding.  And I will tell you I didn't find the shoes (frowny face) BUT I did find some other darling ones and decided to wear it with a dress I got for $10 at Kohl's.  And let me say not until AFTER I saw the pictures of myself did I realize that I actually DID look like Violet Beauregard from Charlie in the Chocolate Factory after she blueberry-afies.  Don't believe me?  Here's proof ...

Seriously, I might as well have watched the movie and then tried to look just like her.  But it's okay because I was comfortable and didn't feel TOO gigantic.  Which is all I can hope for these days.  On top of finding an outfit that worked we had a terrific time at the wedding!  There was a photo booth, which I can only imagine got more crazy and out of control as the night went on, however being pregnant and planning on leaving about an hour after we got to the reception, our pictures turned out pretty tame.  I took the first set with my momma.  Let me give a disclaimer, there are two pictures she is not "allowing" me to display.  So you only get two out of the four that we took together.

And here are the Mister & I's.  Our poor child.  He already has proof his parents are giant nerds ...

{Don't mind the fact that he looks totally disgusted to be kissing me in the last pic.  I promise he's not.  I don't need to explain to you how Caleb happened ...}

We got home around 10 pm (the earliest I've EVER been home from a wedding, I can't TELL YOU how excited I am to dance my feet off at my cousin's wedding in December) and got Sunday morning to do church and all the errands we had to run for the day.  We then went back to church last night to see our friend, Adam Curran, baptize his wife (and our other friend) Alli at the evening service.  And to top the evening off we ended it with a date of Mexican food and a blizzard from DQ on the way home.  I also decorated our house for fall/Halloween this weekend but that will be another post tomorrow.  Oh, did I mention I woke up this morning to weather in the 60's?  Because I did.  And it is HEAVENLY.  The high today was 77.  I just hope it stays.  This IS Texas you know, it can be 45 degrees one day and 95 the next.  We've seen crazier things.

All in all a VERY productive and evenful weekend.  I hope yours were wonderful and that you're enjoying some cooler temps as well!

The Weekend is HERE!

Good morning glories!  I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that linked up and played along for TT yesterday!  Y'all had some FABULOUS posts that I thouroughly enjoyed reading/picture browsing.  I'm still having that little issue with the computer regarding posting comments.  Some days it works, some days it doesn't and some days it's just difficult.  That being the reason I call my computer a 'she' because 'she' pretty much has constant PMS.  So, anyoldwho, that's beside the point, I saw them all and am so glad that so many of you decided to play along while kickin' a shout out to my new button!

I hope y'all have some exciting weekend plans, we have quite a bit, among them being a wedding of a friend who I've known since we were in diapers.  Our parents were friends therefore we did the things that friends of parents friends kids do.  We went on vacations together, spent the night at each other's houses, went trick or treating together, made forts in each other's rooms ... that kind of thing.  In fact, I actually have one of many pictures of Casey and I where our mothers decided they should dress us alike.  They did this a lot.  And we wondered why people always thought we were twins.

{I have no idea what was going on here, but apparently I'm EXCITED that we're both wearing our watermelon shirts.  In case you didn't catch that I'm the one about to pee my pants (it's likely that I did) while squealing on the right.}

Anyway, the point is not that we grew up together.  And that our parents were close friends.  And that we vacay'ed together.  The point is I'm going to a wedding.  For the first time pregnant.  And I have NO shoes to wear that either:

 a) don't fit

 b) don't match one of my few tents options for preggo wedding attire

 or

 c) make me want to saw my feet off because they are so uncomfortable.

  You think I'm kidding?  I could fit a saw in my evening clutch if deemed necessary.  So I thought I had this dilemna solved when the Mister said it was okay for me to go buy a new pair of shoes a 1/2 size larger.  And let me just add this side note.  The last thing I need from pregnancy is to gain SHOE SIZES on top of L-B's.  I mean seriously, at this rate I'm pretty sure I'd quailfy for the NBA, going by just shoe size alone.  And the Mister already called me Sasquatch BEFORE my feet swelled up like a hobbit's, so at this point I'm just ASKING for it.  But enough of that, back to problem solved (or so I thought) ...

... so Target has these darling leopard print tiny heeled (or kitten-heeled as they call it) closed-toed pumps.  Darling, perfect color for the tent dress I'm thinking will work and of course, Target = GREAT price.  So what kind of luck do I have?  Every. stinkin'. Target. within 20 minutes of my house, is sold out of the size I need.  Need a size 8?  Sure, they have it.  9 1/2?  Great, there's 2 or 3.  8 1/2?  A bountiful supply from heaven.  9?  Nowhere to be found.  I'm pretty sure, as a horrible, mean prank to me, someone who is probably 5' 8" or taller and properly suited to have a size 9 foot somewhere went and bought EVERY. SINGLE. SIZE 9, kitten-heeled, leopard print, $25.99 pair of perfectly suited for the wedding I'm attending Saturday night, shoes that Target has.  And I DON'T THINK IT'S FUNNY LADYNOT ONE BIT!

{These are the shoes in question.  I have no idea why they're coming out so gigantic.  Maybe they're supposed to be life-sized.  Seriously, my feet are frickin' huge.}

The inside of the spots is the exact bronze of the dress I'm (thinking about, nothing's set in stone until the shoes are IN my possession) wearing.

SO, today I will be on a hunt to find these beauties in not an 8, or a 9 1/2 or an 8 1/2 but a 9.  Hopefully I'll beat the size 9 shoe knome to at least ONE store before he steals all the rest of the 9's made in this darling little shoe.  I'll update y'all on my progress (and my feet) on Monday but until then, have a fantastic Friday and a safe, relaxing weekend!!!

Thoughtless Thursday!

I can't tell y'all how EXCITED I am about my first Thoughtless Thursday post with my new button made by my good friend and blog designer miss Fabulous K!

Didn't she do a FABULOUS job?  She is pretty fabulous.  Now, I know I usually post a picture or pictures but today I just HAD to post this video that my MIL sent me because it is just TOO cute for words!  So, in keeping with the theme from yesterday in talking about my sweet puppy, please enjoy this video about another darling pup saying grace.

Was that not just the CUTEST!?!?  Seriously, I want to teach Koda how to do that.  Absolutely. darling.

Now, it's your turn!  Come play along and post pictures (or videos, quotes, etc) and come back here and link up!  I do ask, if you're going to play along and link up, to please use my button in your post so people know where to come back and look at everyone else's fun posts and play along if they feel so inclined.  All you have to do is copy the code underneath, paste it in your post and when you hit the "post" button it will show up as the eversodarling button that Kelly made for me!  It's super DUPER easy :)

Thanks in advance to everyone for playing, I can't wait to see what you've posted!  Happy Thoughtless Thursday!!!

My First Baby Boy ...

Today's post will be short and sweet but I felt it necessary to share this little story about my first baby.  No, not the one currently riverdancing in my belly, the fur baby and second love of my life (I figure the Mister SHOULD come before him right?) Koda.  The night before last, the night after we brought all C's gifts home from the shower, Koda comes bounding down the stairs holding the bear head from C's stuffed animal taxidermy wall with a look of "Momma, LOOK wud I'z got!  Somebuddy's broughts me'z uh bunches of new toyz!  I'z so icksited!  MAH LIFEZ IS COMPLEAT!"  Only to be met with "Koda, NO that's not yours!" from me.  He immediately dropped the bear, tucked his tail between his legs and gave me the MOST disappointed look that simultaneously broke my heart.  Then I hear a yell from upstairs, in the general vicinity of where the Mister was, "What happened?" to which I reply "Koda brought one of Caleb's toys down from his room."  The Mister then asks me to show him which toy to which I reply "Sugar, don't be too hard on him he didn't know those aren't for him, they look like dog toys, it's not his fault he wanted to play with one."  He then calls Koda to come upstairs to where we are and shows him the toy in question while telling him no, teaching him that the toy is not, in fact, his like he seemed to think when he originally came bounding down the stairs.  At this point I feel really, REALLY bad and as soon as it's been long enough to not confuse him I grab ahold of my Koda bear and pretty much attack him with kisses, hugs and praises telling him he's a good boy, momma loves him, it's not his fault and that it was okay because he didn't know.  He, of course, rolled on his back to absorb any and all belly rubs he could get out of me.  All I know is this is going to be hard on this momma who's first baby is a furball with four legs and a slobbery tongue.  I mean how can you not absolutely turn to MUSH with this face?

So for now, all of Caleb's stuffed animals are residing in one of his dresser drawers until his crib, glider and the rest of his room are put together and we have a home for his objects of Koda's temptation toys.  And as a result, I MAY or may NOT have gone out and bought my first baby a bag of rawhides to spoil make him feel like the special boy that he is.

A Few Progress Pics ...

First off, thank you ALL for the sweet comments about my shower yesterday!  I will agree with y'all, my friends ARE super talented and incredible in every way!!!  I wanted to show you a few pictures of some of the things actually IN Caleb's room ...

Those letters my MOH made will hang from a blue ribbon over Caleb's crib (when it gets here) ...

That is the antique dresser that was in my Mamo and Papa's first house.  It's over 65 years old and a super cool green distressed color.  It looks great with the wall and the mural will hang over it.  I am going to make two murals that look similar to this ...

I love these two quotes and love the idea of incorporating Disney into little man's room.  I can't wait to put it all together, we just have to wait for the crib and glider to come in.

Also, I'm not sure if any of you noticed but my FABULOUS friend and blog designer, Kelly, made me a new Thoughtless Thursday button!  It looks amazing compared to the janky excuse for a button that I had before (which was one that I made).  I can't WAIT to use it this Thursday and for y'all to play along and post it in your posts!!!  Y'all have been such great participators in the past, I SO appreciate it!!!

That's all I have for today friends, I hope you have fanTABULOUS Tuesdays!!!

First Baby Shower!

Mornin' glories!  I hope y'all had wonderfully relaxing weekends are getting some COOLER weather unlike the good ole' T-E-X-of-AS.  Sheesh.  I'm really getting sick of having 90+ degree weather EVERY day in the middle of September!  Seriously fall, where are you?  If you could kick it down south for a bit there is one pregnant lady that would REALLY appreciate not sweating every time she moves.  Spanks.

Other than the heat nastiness, the weekend was a great one!  On Friday we painted little man's room and it looks FANTASTIC.  And by "we painted" I mean the Mister painted everything and I painted one wall.  The green accent wall.  My Mister kicked some painting arse this weekend.  Thankfully it all turned out okay because we had a little bit of a fiasco on Friday morning.  The Mister had two days off before he starts his new job on Monday so Friday was his day to paint.  We borrowed an electric painter from his parents, which in theory sounded like an AWESOME idea, and when I left on Friday morning to go run some errands and pick up some things I needed for the shower on Saturday everything was a-okay.  Until about 30 minutes later.  I get a phone call from the Mister involving a request for a trip to Home Depot, a few explatives murmured under his breath and a VERY frustrated explanation that the electric painter had a clog in it and when the Mister went to clean it out in the bathtub it exploded all over the walls and the tub.  That's right.  Blue paint everywhere.  Needless to say he wasn't a very happy boy so I dropped the rest of my errands, went to Home Depot and picked myself up a roller to "help" (like I said, I did one wall, the man is a painting machine) and came straight home.  The end result is fantastic, in my opinion anyway.  I will let you judge for yourself ...

What do y'all think?  I love the way it turned out.  I can't wait to see it all put together!

Now, onto Saturday (i.e. the best shower EVER!)  Six of my closest girlfriends threw me my first baby shower and WHAT a shower it was!  Caleb was so VERY spoiled and loved on this special day.  Unfortunately two of the hostesses couldn't be there, but they were there in spirit.  We missed you Kim and Megs!  There was such detail and time put into this shower that I figured instead of telling you about the shower I'd just show you.  So here we go, a pictoral view of our very first baby shower.

First off, the deet's of the shower.  Luckily my Silly took my camera over and took TONS of pictures so I didn't have to worry about it.

{My Silly MADE all the little signs on the minature bottles!}

All of the painted items you see my MOH made and will go in Caleb's nursery!

{His weight and DOB will be added to this when he gets here!}

And now onto the pictures with people in them.  Pardon my sweatyness, poor Andrea (my MOH) mom's AC broke about an hour before the party started so we were all a little warm but still had a FANTASTIC time!  I told her it was fine, I pretty much sweat no matter where I am so even if the air was working I'm sure my sweat situation would've been the same, we'll just go with "I'm glowing" that's what pregnant women are supposed to do anyways, right?

{My Silly (Sister in Law) and I}

{Mama & my aunt Belinda}

{Becky, myself & Leesh (one of my loverly hostesses)}

{Four of my six hostesses all lovin' on baby Fulmer}

{Another one closer up}

{My momma & I}

{My cute momma trying to be helpful and open some champagne for the non-preggers Mimosas}

{Sweet friends, two of them have blogs, Jen is the author of Crying Over Spilled Milk and Liz, next to me is the author of Rockabye Restoration!}

{Me with Caleb's loot!}

{Darling monogrammed snuggly bear for Caleb to sleep with and probably eventually drag around like a blankie}

{We got his bedding!  Thanks momma & Mama!!!}

{The darling book "The Dangerous Book of Boys" from my MIL}

{Part of my gift from the hostesses, the one and ONLY thing the Mister wanted to for Caleb's nursery, stuffed "taxidermy" heads for his "trophy wall"  TOO CUTE!}

{Another part of my gift from the hostesses.  Sic 'em bears!}

{And yet ANOTHER part of my gift from the hostesses, they did TOO MUCH, the darling little blue elephant rocker for Caleb's nursery!}

{A few more pictures with sweet friends}

{Great grandma and grandma's to be}

{My MOH and I in front of the adorable sign she made}

{And a full-lengther}

PHEW and that's just 1/4th of the pictures that I my Silly took!  It was SUCH a fun day and I was pampered and spoiled beyond belief.  I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekends half as much as I did!  Happy Monday loverlies!!!
